Kurt Skelly, Chairman of the Board

Pastor Skelly earned his bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology from Hyles-Anderson College and his master’s degree in Pastoral Theology from Hyles-Anderson Seminary. He completed graduate work at Emmanuel Baptist Theological Seminary and earned his Master of Ministry at Veritas Baptist College.

Kurt has been able to pastor three churches, including his current pastorate at Faith Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia. His passion for the Lord and for people has helped open up many speaking opportunities for him across the U.S. and abroad. As Chairman of the Board of Directors, Kurt helps give direction for the college and works to train people for the work of the ministry.

Mike Reid, Sr., Vice Chairman and Secretary

After graduating from Tennessee Temple University, Pastor Reid served on the church staff of Normandy Baptist Temple in Jacksonville, Florida, for 13 years. In 1994, the Lord led Mike and his family to Fredericksburg, Virginia, to pastor Temple Baptist Church. He has been privileged to serve the people of Fredericksburg and surrounding communities for many years. He has three children and ten grandchildren

Brent Armstrong

Brent went to Bob Jones University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He worked in the business world until 1999 where He felt the Lord leading him into ministry. In 2000, he became the Senior Pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church. After serving the people of Anderson, South Carolina for nine years, the Lord led him to Tucson, Arizona. In 2009, he became the Senior Pastor of Tucson Baptist Church. God has given Pastor Armstrong a vision and a plan to simply reach Tucson one family at a time. God has blessed Pastor Armstrong’s vision. Under his leadership, God is growing a church that exists to love God, grow together, and reach Tucson

Kenny Baldwin

Kenny Baldwin is the Senior Pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church. Sharing his father’s birthday, he is one of Dr. and Mrs. Lou Baldwin’s three children. He was led to the Lord by his father at the young age of four and was called to preach at the age of nine. The Degree of Doctor of Divinity has been conferred upon him by both Pensacola Christian College and Victory Baptist College. He assumed the role of Senior Pastor in the fall of 2011, following in his father’s footsteps who founded and pastored the church for thirty years. Kenny and his wife Bethany were married on March 16, 2002. They have two sons, Kevin and Kenneth (Kobe) and two daughters, Karmen and Khloe. Additionally, Kenny has always had an intense burden for mentoring young men and has embraced four of them into his family and loves and considers them to be his very own: Troy, Peter, Deont’e, and Mark.  He and his family reside in Alexandria, Virginia.

Andrew Bunnell

Andrew has spent his life in mission work traveling at the ground level in more than forty countries across Eurasia, Africa, and North America. He has been instrumental in seven church plants or revitalizations in four distinct cross-cultural environments. As a mission entrepreneur, he has engaged senior leaders in various initiatives across church, government, business, and international organizations. After twenty years with Baptist International Missions, he joined Biblical Ministries Worldwide where he serves as the CEO. In 2000, he married his childhood sweetheart, Sarah. They have three children: Joseph, Jackson, and Elizabeth.

Fred Christian

Pastor Christian was saved at the Carbondale Baptist Church in Cannelton, West Virginia in February of 1978. Brother Christian did his undergraduate work at the West Virginia Institute of Technology in Montgomery, West Virginia, and Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He also holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Ministry degree from Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport, Louisiana. He taught Bible for 5 years at the Fair Haven Christian High School in Charleston, West Virginia. He has also served as adjunct faculty at Atlantic Baptist Bible College, Global Bible University in Nicaragua, West Virginia University Institute of Technology, West Virginia State University in Institute, and the University of Charleston. In addition to preaching and teaching he also serves as the administrator of the Teays Valley School of the Bible in Hurricane, West Virginia, and he is currently serving as the academic dean of Global Bible University, a ministry of Project 14 Global Missions which has its offices in Knightdale, North Carolina.

Jamison Coppola

Jamison Coppola directs the AACS Legislative Office and lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. His desire is to be sincere follower of Jesus and to pursue excellence in education and work toward preserving the American ideals articulated by our Founders. He received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 1995 and his master’s degree in educational administration in 1997 from Pensacola Christian College. In 2005, the Lord moved Jamison, with his wife Jordana and daughter Jianna, to the ministry of Front Range Baptist Church in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he served as the academy administrator and as a board member of the Colorado Association of Christian Schools until August of 2013. Now as the legislative director for AACS, he works with state and regional associations and partner organizations to inform member schools of important national and local issues and to influence the legislative process. He is responsible for working with federal legislators and conservative advocacy organizations in pursuing protection for educational freedom, the traditional family, and life issues.

Cathy Dotson

Dr. Dotson has devoted her life to Christian education, and she currently serves as the elementary principal at Wilmington Christian Academy. Graduating with her bachelor’s degree from Pensacola Christian College in 1993, she went on to complete her master’s degree at the University of Memphis in 1997 and earned her Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2010. Cathy served as the Dean of Education at Tennessee Temple University and has taught and served as an administrator in Christian schools for many years. Cathy has a heart for academic excellence and for training people to serve Jesus Christ.

Mike Lester

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in Church Ministries from The Crown College of the Bible in 1994. He later completed his master’s degree in English Bible through Maranatha Baptist University, the Master of Divinity degree from Southern California Seminary, and completed his Doctor of Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary.  
 
During his twenty-seven years at West Coast Baptist College, Mike served as the chief academic officer, director of online education, a Bible faculty member, and led a singles’ Bible class at Lancaster Baptist Church. He and his family currently live in Oxford, MI where they faithfully attend and are lay servants at The Baptist Church of Hadley. In 2021, Mike joined the team at Veritas where he currently serves as the president.

Tim Rabon

Pastor Rabon began ministering at Beacon Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, in July 1981, having earned a B.A. degree in Bible and Pastoral Training. Prior to becoming the pastor in 1997, he served as the associate pastor overseeing the various ministries including: bus, children, youth, and soul winning. Tim has earned an M.A. in Biblical Exposition and has received two Doctor of Divinity degrees. He and his wife, Sharon, have two sons, a daughter and eight grandchildren.
