In 1997 Dennis graduated from PCC with an undergraduate in Science and Math Education. He stayed at PCC for two years and taught Anatomy and Physiology as well as Biological Science Survey on the college level. He continued to teach high school science and math until 2005 when he transitioned into pastoral ministry. In 2020 Dennis received his Master of Divinity degree from Piedmont International University (now Carolina University) in Winston Salem, NC. He then enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at Pensacola Theological Seminary where he earned his D.Min. in 2025.
