High school students, get ahead with Dual Enrollment

Qualifying high school students are eligible to enroll in more than fifty college courses. Students may choose from most of our 100-level or 200-level courses each semester. These courses will qualify for meeting credit requirements for a high school diploma in many schools and will also provide an opportunity for acquiring college credit. Dual Enrollment students may also enroll in select associate degree programs, giving them the opportunity to finish high school with a college degree already completed.
Qualifications
Dual enrollment is limited to students at least 15 years of age who have not graduated from high school and who are under the age of 21. Students must have earned a GPA of at least 2.5 in their most recent high school term. Students must have the deportment needed to independently navigate college-level courses in an online setting.
Application and Registration
High school students may apply for dual enrollment at the age of 14 but will not be able to enter their first course until the term that begins on or after their 15th birthday.
To apply, click Apply Now. Under “Application,” choose “Dual Enrollment” as your degree program. Once your application has been accepted, you will be assigned to an advisor to help you through the remainder of the process and will be given access to the LMS where you will register for your classes.
Tuition, Fees, and Books
Tuition is only $100 per credit hour, which can be paid in four installments. Application, registration, and technology fees are waived for dual enrollment students. You will be able to view and pay for tuition on our Student Information System. The textbooks for each course are listed on the Learning Management System. Students decide where they purchase their textbooks and other resources.
Schedule
All courses include a recorded lecture component. Each lecture is approximately 30 minutes with most modules having only 2 or 3 lectures per week. This provides the greatest flexibility for our students.
Pre-recorded lectures allow our instructors to provide substantial feedback on assignments and to spend more time with individual students as needed, ensuring that one student does not get lost in a crowd.
Grades and Grade Reporting
Students have access to their grades and semester averages on a daily basis through the Learning Mangement System. Final grades are sent to the school at the end of the term in the form of an official transcript.
Internet Access and Email
All students enrolled in courses at VBC are expected to have regular access to a high-speed internet connection in order to be able to stream session recordings.
All quizzes and tests are taken online through the Learning Mangement System (LMS).
All document transfer and grade reporting are completed through the LMS as well.
Most communication from the college office and instructors takes place via e-mail.
Students will be given a VBC e-mail address. Students should check this e-mail and the LMS for announcements daily.
To apply, click the button below and select “Dual Enrollment” as your degree program.
Accreditation
As a Christian institution, we do not seek accreditation to validate our message but rather as a vehicle for self-improvement and for communicating the quality of our educational function. Veritas Baptist College credits are transferable to many institutions; however, colleges and universities establish their criteria for acceptance independently, and questions about transferability of credit should be addressed prior to enrollment.

Veritas Baptist College is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434) 525-9539; e-mail: info@tracs.org] having been awarded Reaffirmation I of its Accredited Status as a Category IV institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 19, 2016. This status is effective for a period of ten years. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

Veritas Baptist College has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
