COMMENCEMENT EVENTS

Graduation will be held in the Faith Baptist Church auditorium at 4105 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.

VBC Commencement: Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.

  • Rehearsal—2:00 p.m. in the Faith Baptist Church auditorium. All participating graduates are required to attend.
  • Ceremony—7:00 p.m. in the Faith Baptist Church auditorium. Invite as many guests as you like.
  • Reception—8:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. All are welcome.

VBC Commencement Breakfast: Friday, May 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

 

AIRPORTS

Each airport is 1-1.5 hours away from Faith Baptist Church. Traffic is a consideration for all airports. We recommend arriving the day before the ceremony.

  • Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI)—least expensive fares but farthest away in Baltimore, MD.
  • Reagan National Airport (DCA)—moderately priced fares in the heart of Washington DC
  • Dulles International Airport (IAD)—moderately priced fares just outside Washington DC
  • Richmond International Airport (RIC)—most expensive fares but easiest to access in Richmond, VA. 

DRESS CODE

  • Graduation Rehearsal Dress Code: Business casual attire
  • Graduation Ceremony Dress Code (for graduates):
    • Men: Dress shirt and tie, black dress slacks, black dress shoes, black socks. No jewelry beside a watch and a ring. Hair must be cut above the ears and off the collar (no “man buns”).
    • Ladies: Black church dress/skirt and black dress shoes.  Women must avoid extremes in current fashion trends, such as low necklines, high hemlines or slits, tight clothing, etc.  Jewelry should be simple, not flashy.
  • Graduation Breakfast Dress Code: Casual

HOTELS
The ceremony will be held at Faith Baptist Church at 4105 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407, and there are many nearby options for housing in any price point. Feel free to use Hotels.com or AirBnB.com to secure housing in Fredericksburg.

LIVESTREAM
The livestream link will be published sometime before the ceremony so that students can forward to friends and family.

PHOTOGRAPHS
Professional photographs will be taken at the ceremony, and the students will be sent a free link with access to those edited photos after the ceremony.

REGALIA
Students will pick up regalia before the ceremony and are free to take it with them after the ceremony.
